garden Tour
The gardens and villas of Tuscany are a testimonial of the welfare of the noble families of the past centuries.
You will realize how much history, beauty, harmony you will find visiting a national historic park as Boboli (built between the fifteenth and the nineteenth century) which is a veritable outdoor museum. Inside the garden you will find a collection of sculptures, ranging from the Roman period to the nineteenth century.
Of great importance there are also the giardino Torrigiani, giardino Corsi Annalena e giardino Bardini that extends itself around the homonymous villa in the hills south of town, not far from Fort Belvedere.
Not far from the center of Florence, you can find some old villas with beautiful gardens such as Villa Gamberaia of the fourteenth century, Villa Tatti, Villa La Pietra (which since 1994 has been owned by the New York University), Villa Medici in Fiesole and Villa Medici in Careggi.
In addition to the Florentin area, many other provinces of Tuscany boast villas built by noble families.
Lucca, in particular, is known for its beautiful villas located just outside the city walls. Do not miss a visit to Marlia Villa, built in the fourteenth century by the family Panciatichi from Pistoia and Villa Torrigiani built in the seventeenth-century with its beautiful garden.
